A Day in San Miguel de Allende

Tucked away in the state of Guanajuato is the cute town of San Miguel de Allende. My first trip to San Miguel was earlier this year and I instantly fell in love. My parents are two hours away so we went for a day trip while I was there in November. This city reminds me of Salvatierra, the city by my parents’ home, but a little more colonial. It’s definitely more modern and Americanized. That can be good or bad, but I’ll let you make your own decision after you visit. Keep reading to learn more about this city.

Bishop Arts Eats - 5 Places Worth Visiting

My Dallas life has fallen together beautifully. I moved here unsure that I’d ever be able to fall in love with the city or find my way here. While my soul belongs in a city, I’m not ‘extra’ and love the simple things in life. The Dallas I had experienced previously was everything I disliked - Uptown (side note: I do like Uptown under certain circumstances but they’re very few). I like to say that I’m always close enough to the hood to grab some good Mexican food, but far enough to not be fully overwhelmed with the loud music and chickens.
