Last month I decided to try a few classes that are outside my normal routine. I was feeling bleh and wasn’t going to be able to attend my gym enough to be worth the cost. So, I decided to fill my month with free opportunities. I think sometimes we just need to shake our body up and give it something different. I love to encourage people to find what works for them and what best way than to try free classes. Keep reading for a short recap of what I tried. I encourage you to try these since they’re all free, except for one.
This gym offers a 7-day trial for you to get a feel for their classes. I like to think of H.I.I.T (high intensity interval training) workouts as crossfit without the gymnastics and olympic weight lifting. That’s really what it is. The classes are an hour long but broken out into two chunks. The movements are always different and everyday is a full body workout. You can expect to use TRX bands, flip tires and do some other stuff that you don’t normally think about doing. Say, speed ladder.
This boutique studio offers a whole week of free classes. A WHOLE WEEK. Core Power offers a variety of yoga classes all rooted in the fundamentals of the practice. They have tons of class-times to fit any schedule. Some days their last class is at 9pm. Also, this studio is located nation-wide, so if you’re not in Dallas check for a studio near you.
This studio doesn’t currently have a free class but you can get an intro class for $14. I took a cycle class with Paige, and lucky for me she let me use her guest pass. I’ve taken cycle classes before but nothing quite like this one. The music was on point and the movements weren’t crazy difficult. If you’re looking for cardio, this is it!

If you’re in the Dallas area and want to try Crossfit, slide into my email. I’d love to have you join me for a class at my gym Tiger’s Den Crossfit.
