Valentine's Day Outfit Idea

When it comes to Valentine’s Day I’m not your typical girl. I actually don’t want to go out because restaurants are crazy busy and I don’t do well when hangry. Most years, we will either cook or pick up takeout and watch a movie at home. I love that because it speaks to who we are. Super chill. Honestly, I think Vday causes more hurt feelings than happy feelings. I really wish everyone felt love everyday all day. You don’t need a holiday to validate yourself. You are loved. You are valued. You are believed in. Seriously.

If you’re braving the restaurant crowds, send me some recommendations so I can go later. If you’re hanging with your galentine’s I might crash the party!

Lately, I’ve been into flowy dresses, which is odd because I normally gravitate towards shorter, tighter dresses. I feel like loose dresses are more fashion forward and people focus on the clothes you’re wearing rather than your body. Anyone else agree?

Although, I’m not going to be wearing this outfit Thursday, I wanted to capture it for you all. I actually wore this for Christmas but it’s perfect for any occasion. The dress is from H&M and is only $19.99. Yeah, you read that right! I paired it with my favorite Dolce Vita Coltyn Booties because they keep the outfit in that perfect day-to-night category. If you’ve been keeping up with my Instagram, you know I’m obsessed with these booties. I can’t believe I haven’t talked about them on here. I mean the product description says it all - they’re effortless attitude. I also wrapped a thin leather belt to give me a waist and bring everything together. I made a goal last year to try and accessorize more. This is me trying, ha.

Anyway, I hope you all have a Happy Valentine’s day. Let me know if you’re liking posts with the outfits. I’m basically trying to put them here to serve as outfit inspo for you all to reference.
